WHAT THE APPLICATION DEMANDS

Control the features that control performance.

Each project is reviewed against its own geometry and risk. These are common engineering priorities—not universal tolerance claims.

01

Machine alignment

Datums, shaft centers, mounting faces and hole patterns are reviewed for assembly fit.

02

Service durability

Material, fits and surface protection are aligned with load, wear and environment.

03

Maintainable supply

Controlled revisions and repeatable process planning reduce sourcing uncertainty.

DESIGN FOR MANUFACTURING

A useful quote identifies risk—not only price.

For industrial automation components, the manufacturability review connects the 3D model to the drawing: datum structure, critical fits, wall sections, tool access, material condition, finishing and the measurement method.

  • Confirm the released revision and units
  • Separate functional requirements from cosmetic zones
  • Identify assembly-critical bores, faces and threads
  • Agree inspection evidence before production

PROTOTYPE TO REPEAT PRODUCTION

Five stages, one controlled requirement.

Each stage answers a different manufacturing question before more time and material are committed.

01

RFQ & drawing review

Align revision, material, quantity, critical features and commercial requirements.

02

Prototype

Test manufacturability and functional interfaces using production-relevant material.

03

Engineering validation

Review fit, assembly, finish and inspection evidence; capture approved changes.

04

Production validation

Confirm fixtures, machining sequence, process checks and packaging on a controlled batch.

05

Repeat production

Run the released revision with agreed controls, documentation and change discipline.

QUALITY PLANNING

Measure the interface that matters.

Inspection scope is built from the drawing and application risk. Generic tolerance claims are not a substitute for reviewing the real geometry, datum scheme, material and measurement method.

ENGINEERING FAQ

Answers before you send the drawing.

What industrial automation parts can WEKO machine?+

Common scope includes housings, brackets, plates, shafts, sleeves, carriers and structural interfaces manufactured from customer CAD and drawings.

Does WEKO design complete automation machines?+

No. WEKO manufactures metal structural components. Complete machine architecture, controls, electronics, assembly and system integration are outside the standard supply scope.

Can replacement or repeat parts be manufactured?+

Yes, when ownership and technical documentation are clear. WEKO reviews the current released revision, material, quantity and inspection requirements before quoting.

How are large or complex assemblies handled?+

WEKO evaluates the individual machined components and agreed subassembly scope. Size, tolerance stack, fixture strategy and capacity must be reviewed before commitment.
